Brilliant Blue Diamond winner Miracles Of Life is set to make her Melbourne Spring Carnival debut in the Group 3 $150,000 HDF McNeil Stakes(1200m) at Caulfield on Saturday.

Morphettville trainer Daniel Clarken is warning punters not be put off by Miracles Of Life’s winter coat and is predicted that the unbeaten filly will be just as slick as when she raced in the Autumn.

“She’s still a little wintry in her coat, but that’s to be expected. It’s bloody cold over here,” Clarken told Racing Network.

“I really couldn’t be happier with her.”

Miracles Of Life took all before her, racing through the Autumn unbeaten from four starts including the Group 1 $1m Patinack Farm Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on February 23.

Blue Diamond winning jockey Lauren Stojakovic has been the filly’s only rider and was again on board when Miracles Of Life was an easy six and a half length trial winner over 1000m at Morphettville two weeks ago.

“She won by six and ran a second and a half quicker than any other trial winner,” Clarken said following her trial win.

“Lauren gave her a bit of a squeeze after they turned and that was the end of that.

“She’s now ready and we’ll be there for the McNeil.”

Clarken is more than pleased with the progress of the Not A Single Doubt filly and expects her to continue on where she left off before heading for a spell.

“Everything we’ve seen of her she’s done well,” Clarken said.

“We can’t see that she’s taken a backward step.”

Miracles Of Life is nominated for the Group 1 $500,000 Schweppes Thousand Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield on October 16 and Clarken will make up his mind later in the Spring if the brilliant sprinter will be capable of running out a strong 1600m.

If he decides not pursue a Thousand Guineas start, Clarken is toying with the possibility of tackling the weight age sprints with the Group 1 $1m Sportingbet Manikato Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley on October 25 a likely target.

“She would need to be right at the top of her game to do that, but at weight-for-age the three-year-old fillies get a huge start at the weights,” Clarken said.
