Mooshakissa cruised to the lead in the early stages of the race without any strong urging from jockey Blake Shinn and she had her rivals struggling off the bit coming around the turn.

Shinn waited patiently before he made his move on Mooshakissa, but the daughter of Duporth responded well when she was asked for an extra effort to record a very comfortable win from Hazlebrook and Fast ‘N’ Feisty.

Team Snowden already have outright favourite Capitalist heading towards the 2016 Magic Millions Classic, but Snowden confirmed after the race that he would likely give Mooshakissa an opportunity in the $2 million event.

“You’ve got to think she’s a worthy chance of getting up there now,” Snowden said.

“She’s pretty good.

“She has nice ability and is still improving, she seems to be thriving at the moment.”

Christian Reith partnered Mooshakissa when she made he racing debut with a third place finish behind Quick Feet and Serena’s Pride, but Shinn was given the opportunity to partner the juvenile this afternoon after he rode her in a barrier trial over 900 metres at Rosehill Gardens on November 10.

Shinn is confident that Mooshakissa still has plenty of improvement in front of her and he believes that she is capable of running well in the Magic Millions Classic if she continues to follow her progressive pattern.

“She began really well, we took control of it early and she won as she liked,” Shinn said.

“She’s improving all the time so you never know with a filly like this when they’re on an upward spiral where they will end up.”

Mooshakissa is currently available at 2016 Magic Millions Classic odds of $34, while Breeders Stakes winner Capitalist ($3.20) is a dominant favourite from Nikitas ($8), Zelady’s Night Out ($8), The Last Kiss ($10), Niccolance ($11), Detective ($15) and Conchita ($17).

Shinn and Team Snowden are both chasing their first win in the Magic Millions Classic.
