Madotti Ready to Win at Wyong

Country trainer Matt Dunn is confident that talented mare Madotti has the class to overcome a smart field and win Thursday’s Magic Millions 3yo & 4yo Classic (1200m) at Wyong Racecourse.

Madotti has been a strong and consistent performer throughout her entire racing career so far, and will line up at Wyong tomorrow afternoon with a positive race record of three wins and a further four minors through only seventeen appearances.

Underlining betting favourite Egyptian Symbol has the horse to beat in the Wyong Magic Millions 3yo & 4yo Guineas field, Dunn told AAP that he is very confident in Madotti’s ability and believes that she is in the right form to win the $100,000 race.

“You take Egyptian Symbol out of the race and Maddotti’s probably the winner,” Dunn said.

“If she gets a firm surface and a little bit of luck from that tricky gate and we can beat the favourite.”

Madotti showed plenty of ability when debuting to racing during the spring of 2014 and capped her debut campaign an impressive fourth behind Le Chef in the Magic Millions 2.y.o Classic (1200m) on the Gold Coast, in early 2015.

Running third in the Listed Mode Plate (1200m) at Doomben in November last year, the Falvelon mare broke through for her first black type win in the Group 3 Vo Rogue Plate (1300m) before again running well at the Gold Coast Magic Millions meet when fifth behind Mahuta in the 3YO Guineas (1400m).

Clearly requiring a run when she resumed in winter for eleventh in the Winning Edge Presentations Handicap (1200m), Madotti placed fifth in a Doomben minor over 1110m and second in a 1200m sprint before ending her season seventh in the talent-rich Hamilton Hotel Plate (1200m).

Trialling well in the lead-up to her summer campaign, the four-year-old will carry winning form into the Wyong Magic Millions after taken out the Roadwork Solutions BM78 (1200m) first-up on November 26th.

Madotti will be partnered by Tye Angland on Thursday, but has been charged with overcoming the outside barrier.

Ladbrokes Australia is currently offering Madotti at Wyong Magic Million 3yo & 4yo Classic odds of $7.
