Lindsay Park tops the numbers in 2017 Inglis Sires’ nominations

The Lindsay Park Team have topped the numbers in the nominations for the 2017 Group 1 $1m Inglis Sires’ (1400m) at Randwick on April 1.

The training partnership of David and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig have twenty-five two year olds included in the 272 youngsters nominated for the feature juvenile race on day one of “The Championships’.

Among their contingent of two year olds are last start winners Catchy, Formality, Eshtiraak, Muraahib and Formality as well as the smart Pierro filly Tulip.

Formality at $8 and Catchy at $9 are currently second and third in the market order at Ladbrokes.com.au for the Group 1 $1.5m Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on February 25.

Pariah sits at the top of the Blue Diamond Stakes market order at $6 and is one of eighteen youngsters the Peter and Paul Snowden Racing Team have nominated for the Inglis Sires.

The Redoute’s Choice colt established himself as one of the main players in the feature Autumn two year old races with an impressive win on debut in the Group 3 $150,000 Canonbury Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill on January 28.

Pariah’s stablemate Khan is also among Snowden’s eighteen Inglis Sires nominations and the Exceed And Excel colt created a huge impression with his win in the Listed $150,000 Newgate Breeders’ Plate (1000m) at Randwick during the 2016 Sydney Spring Carnival.

Chris Waller’s early season two year old winner From Within heads up the champion trainers seventeen nominations for the Inglis Sires.

The Godolphin Team has nominated fifteen youngsters for the Inglis Sires with last Saturday’s Hinchinbrook Stakes winner Veranillo leading the John O’Shea trained crop of two year olds.

Trainer Tony McEvoy has produced a strong contingent of two year olds so far this season and juvenile winners Azazel, Roomooz, Time Awaits and Aspect are among his fifteen Inglis Sires nominations.

Caulfield trainer Mick Price is always prominent in the feature two year old races and has Moonee Valley winner Cao Cao heading his seven Inglis Sires nominations while the Toby Edmonds trained Magic Millions 2yo Classic winner Houtzen is also listed among the huge nominations.
