When entries closed today, Hayes and Dabernig trained horses numbered five among the thirty nominations received by the South Australian Jockey Club.

Churchill Dancer, Faatinah, Fast ‘N’ Rocking, Miss Promiscuity and Sheidel have been targeted towards Adelaide’s Festival Of Racing’s glamour sprint race.

Hayes and Dabernig have already tasted success at the Festival Of Racing with a winning double at Morphettville last Saturday with two year old Moqla taking out the Listed $100,000 Seven News Queen Adelaide Stakes (1050m) and Faatinah winning the Group 2 $250,000 UBET Stakes (Euclase Stakes) (1200m).

And the Lindsay Park Team went within a whisker of collecting a winning treble with Sheidel being beaten by the narrowest of margins when second to Precious Gem in the Group 1 $400,000 UBET Classic (Registered as Robert Sangster Stakes) (1200m).

“She got beaten an inch and her genuine stablemate — same colours, same owner — probably cost her more than the inch she got beat,” Hayes told The Advertiser.

Sheidel’s stalemate Miss Promiscuity lost her rider Luke Nolen at the 700m but then raced to lead in the straight and caused slight interference to Sheidel at the 300m mark.

Hayes has a high opinion of three year old Faatinah and he rates the Euclase Stakes a good quality race.

“We think he’s a potential Group 1 sprinter,” Hayes said.

“He was quite dominant (on Saturday), but he was exposed a long way from home.

“I think he’ll go to another level.

“In a year’s time I think there will be Group 1 winners dotted in this race. I think it’s a true Group 2.”

Goodwood favourite Black Heart Bart is one for three horses trainer Darren Weir has nominated, the others being Sooboog and Stratum Star.

Early market order for the Goodwood at Ladbrokes.com.au has Black Heart Bart at the top of the list at $4 with Sheidel the best of the Hayes and Dabernig runners at $17.
