Let’s Make Adeal was included in the nominations for both the Group 1 Memsie Stakes (1400m) and Listed Slickpix Stakes (1700m) that were released yesterday, but Blackiston told Racing Ahead that the 1700 metres of the Slickpix Stakes is perfect for Let’s Make Adeal and he added that he was delighted with the condition of the mare at this stage of her preparation.

“She is great,” Blackiston said.

“We have her nominated in the old Heatherlie Handicap and that is perfect, so that is the way that we are headed.

“She had a nice light autumn with three great runs, she had two weeks break in Brisbane and she has carried that form back to Melbourne.

“She is in great order.”

Let’s Make Adeal broke through for her first race win in over a year when she took out the Listed Centaurea Stakes (2000m) at Morphettville on May 16 before she finished a credible fourth in the Group 2 Brisbane Cup (2200m) at Doomben on June 6.

Blackiston is confident that Let’s Make Adeal can replicate that form in the Slickpix Stakes and he believes that she can win the race if she receives any luck in running.

“Without sounding too cocky I think that she can win,” Blackiston said.

“Caulfield is a turning track and it is not really ideal for her.

“She has had a few near misses there, but if we have any luck from the barrier and we can keep her nice and balanced than I think she will run a very forward race.”

The Group 1 Melbourne Cup (3200m) is the major 2015 Spring Racing Carnival goal for Let’s Make Adeal, but Blackiston is yet to decide on the exact path that she will follow to ‘the race that stops a nation’ and he revealed that the Group 3 Naturalism Stakes (2000m) at Caulfield on September 10, the Group 3 The Bart Cummings (2500m) at Flemington on October 4 and the Group 1 Caulfield Cup (2400m) on October 17 could all be on the agenda for the granddaughter of Let’s Elope.

“She will possibly head towards the Naturalism Stakes and after that we have the Herbert Power, The Bart Cummings and even the Turnbull if we need to,” Blackiston said.

“The main thing is to get over Saturday and try and get her qualified for the Caulfield Cup first.”

Let’s Make Adeal is currently available at 2015 Melbourne Cup odds of $51, while she is priced at $81 to take out the Caulfield Cup.
