Let’s Make Adeal Can Bounce Back In Naturalism Stakes

Trainer Nigel Blackiston is hopeful that staying mare Let’s Make Adeal can return to her best form when she contests the 2015 Naturalism Stakes at Caulfield on Saturday.

Let’s Make Adeal performed well in all three starts during her autumn campaign, but she was settled towards the tail of the field when she returned to the races in the Listed Heatherlie Stakes (1700m) at Caulfield on August 29 and she was never able to get into the contest.

Blackiston told Racing.com that nothing went to plan for Let’s Make Adeal in the Heatherlie Stakes, but he believes that the daughter of Red Ransom is more than capable of returning to winning form if she has some luck in the 2015 Naturalism Stakes this weekend.

“She has come through very well,” Blackiston said.

“Obviously the Naturalism wasn’t run to suit her; we drew a terrible barrier and we got back a long way.

“She was never a winning start from that barrier.

“I think she can bounce back.

“We haven’t had a great deal of luck at Caulfield, but if we can get a good ride and draw a good barrier for a chance, I am very happy with her.”

Earning a start in both the Group 1 Caulfield Cup (2400m) and Group 1 Melbourne Cup (3200m) is the major 2015 Spring Racing Carnival goal for Let’s Make Adeal and she will secure a place in the Caulfield Cup field if she wins the Naturalism on Saturday, but Blackiston said that the Group 2 JRA Cup (2040m) at Moonee Valley on October 2, the Group 1 The Metropolitan (2400m) at Royal Randwick on October 3, the Group 3 The Bart Cummings (2500m) at Flemington on October 4 and the Group 2 Herbert Power Stakes (2400m) at Caulfield on October 10 are all options for Let’s Make Adeal if she does not take out the Naturalism Stakes.

“That will depend on if she wins it or not,” Blackiston said.

“You have the Herbert Power, you have the Bart Cummings and you have the JRA Cup at Moonee Valley.

“There are several options for her and even The Metropolitan in Sydney is another option for her.

“I believe that she is in better order this year and hopefully she can get the job done.”

Let’s Make Adeal is currently available at 2015 Melbourne Cup odds of $81 with Ladbrokes, while Fame Game ($8) remains a dominant favourite from Max Dynamite ($15), Order Of St George ($15), Hartnell ($17) and Hokko Brave ($17).
