The Darryl Hansen trained Le Cap has firmed in from $18 after drawing the rails on Monday morning and is now listed at $8.50 with Ladbrokes.com.au on race morning.

Sydney mare I’ve Got The Looks from the Peter and Paul Snowden stable heads the market order at $3.60 ahead of the Kris Lees trainer Thump at $7.

Le Cap will head to the Ramornie Handicap looking for a hat trick after wins at the Sunshine Coast and Rockhampton.

Two starts back Le Cap scored a convincing two lengths win in a 1200m BenchMark 85 Handicap on June 8 then Hansen took the Exceed And Excel gelding to Rockhampton for a win in $100,000 XXXX Gold Newmarket Handicap (1300m) on June 18.

Since winning his maiden at Gosford in March 2012, Le Cap has covered thousands of kilometres for wins at Hawkesbury in New South Wales before continuing his racing career in Queensland where he collected wins at the Gold Coast, Eagle Farm, Doomben, Townsville and Mount Isa.

Top Sydney jockey Glyn Schofield takes over from Luke Tarrant who was aboard Le Cap’s last two wins at the Sunshine Coast and Rockhampton.

I’ve Got The Looks is also a firmer, from $4 to $3.60, at the top of the market order even though she drew eleven in the original draw, she will jump from gate ten following the official scratchings of the two emergencies.

The Snowdens were quick to snap up the services of Robert Thompson and Peter Snowden is confident the Hall Of Fame jockey will give the mare every chance.

“I would have liked I’ve Got The Looks to draw a bit better but there’s nothing we can do about that,” Peter Snowden told the The Daily Examiner.

“We’re lucky to have Robert aboard. We just need some luck and a good ride from Robert.”

Top weight Malavio has also come in for some early support and is now marked at $19 after opening up at $26.

Ramornie Handicap market order at Ladbrokes.com.au: $3.60 I’ve Got The Looks, $7 Thump, $8.50 Le Cap, $10 Barbed, $11 Turbulent Jet, $12 Rocket To Glory, Bound For Earth, $13 Timeless Prince, $17 Fare Well, $18 Territory, $19 Rock Royalty, Malavio, $21 Final Cresendo, $31 Nothing Like Luca, $34 Single Chance, $91 Curely Mac.
