Trainer Robert Heathcote has nominated five year old Lauterbrunnen as the best chance of his six runners at Doomben on Saturday.

Lauterbrunnen is on the second line of betting at $5 with Ladbrokes.com.au for the Listed $100,000 Sky Racing Tattersall’s Mile (1600m) and jockey Jim Byrne is hoping for better luck after running third to Harada Bay in a 1630m Open Handicap at Doomben on July 9.
“I was quite happy with his last run but he didn’t have much luck,” Heathcote Racing Queensland News.
“Jim Byrne got off him and said he would have won with a touch of luck.
“His best distance is 1600 metres so he should be a good chance in a very competitive race but even if he wins again he won’t be going away.”
Lauterbrunnen is up against Harada Bay again in the Tattersall’s Mile and meets the John and Chris Meagher trained gelding 0.5kg better for being beaten one length last start.
Harada Bay is listed at $6.50 while Akavourun, who split the pair at Doomben is also well in contention at $5.50.
The Kelly Doughty trained Flamboyer heads the market order at $4 as he chased a hat trick after wins in a 1400m Class 6 at Eagle Farm on June 25 and in the Listed $175,000 HMR Projects Pty Ltd Glasshouse Handicap (1400m) at the Sunshine Coast on July 2.
Heathcote is also giving Sea Red a good chance at her first run back since running ninth in a 1600m BenchMark 85 Handicap at Doomben on January 23.
Sea Red’s Summer form before that was good with two wins at Doomben before running third in a 1600m Open Handicap at the Sunshine Coast on January 2.
“She’s got a devastating finish and it’s probably one of the best finishes in my stable,” Heathcote said.
“She’s got a few issues with her conformity which puts pressure on her joints.
“Her conformation doesn’t allow her to have a lengthy campaign.”
Sea Red is on the second line of betting at $5 for the in the 1350m BenchMark Handicap and has Robbie Fradd in the saddle again.
Heathcote’s other runners are Jopa ($11) and Treatmelikealady ($8.50) in the Tattersall’s Open Handicap (1110m), Kingtantes ($20) in the Class 3 Plate (1350m) and Oberland ($3.50 favourite) in the QTIS Three year old Handicap (1200m).
