Ladbrokes Australia has launched a branded EFTPOS card that will allow punters to immediately claim their winnings following the conclusion of a race.

Ladbrokes Card Launched

Ladbrokes.com.au has launched the first EFTPOS card for fast payouts

The Ladbrokes branded EFTPOS card, which is a world first in the betting industry, will enable punters from right around Australia to use every ATM or EFTPOS machine as an immediate payout machine; with the two or three day wait for winnings to process now a thing of the past.

“We believe it’s the biggest game changer in our industry since mobile betting,” Ladbrokes Australia’s General Manager of Marketing and Communications, James Burnett said.

“Ladbrokes.com.au is the first in the market to offer the best of both worlds – giving customers the best odds across three Totes or Starting Price, and now with a fast, safe, easy and private way to immediately collect winnings.

“We now offer the ultimate betting proposition: top odds, fast collect.”

Ladbrokes only entered the Australian betting market in September last year, but has already become a major player with their range of exciting promotions, such as Double The Odds on all the major races during the 2013 Spring Racing Carnival, as well as innovative products like Pick Your Own Odds, BetQuiz and a Daily Free Bet Challenge.

Burnett believes that Ladbrokes has already had a major impact on the Australian gambling landscape and is confident that the Ladbrokes EFTPOS Card, which will allow punters to withdraw $1000 in cash a day and complete EFTPOS transactions of up to $2500 a day, is their greatest innovation yet.

“The Ladbrokes EFTPOS card, an industry first, is the next step into delivering our ‘bet better’ commitment,” Burnett said.

“The new card is at the centre of our marketing push, but we will also be rolling out new technology products to stay number one with our customers.

“We are a customer-focused business and I have no doubt the launch of the new Ladbrokes EFTPOS card will show that focus because it’s completing the best end-to-end punting experience.”

The Ladbrokes EFTPOS Card has been made possible through a multiple year agreement with ASX-listed payments solutions provider Emerchants Limited and their Managing Director Tom Cregan said that it was yet another example of the company’s innovation.

“To be able to partner with Ladbrokes.com.au in a way that dramatically increases their ability to service their customers through instant access to their winnings reflects our innovative approach to business,” Cregan said.

“At emerchants our aim has been to create a payment system that is easy to use and offers more control and flexibility to both Ladbrokes and its customers.”

The Ladbrokes Card can be accessed from today at www.ladbrokes.com.au and Burnett is certain that punters will be delighted with the new experience the branded EFTPOS card offers.

“What it means in practice is punters can now place a bet with Ladbrokes.com.au, secure the best odds on offer anywhere in Australia, watch their horse win and minutes later have cash in their hands to buy mates a drink at the bar.”

Coinciding with the launch of the Ladbrokes Card the Ladbrokes.com.au website has also received a fresh new coat of paint and incorporates some great new features including live video streaming.
