Kool Kompany made his racing debut under the care of Richard Hannon in the United Kingdom and he took out the Listed Alfred Nobel Rochestown Stakes (1207m) at Naas in Ireland at just his third race start in June of last year before he took out the Group 2 Railway Stakes (1207m) at Curragh and the Group 2 Prix Robert Papin (1100m) in France.

He made his Group 1 debut with a close second behind Dick Whittington in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes (1207m) on August 10 and he had a break from racing after he finished fifth in the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes (1207m) at Newmarket.

Kool Kompany started his 2015 racing season with a win in the Group 3 Craven Stakes (1609m) at Newmarket on April 16 and he performed well in both the Group 1 2000 Guineas (1609m) at the same venue and Group 1 Commonwealth Cup (1207m) at Royal Ascot on June 19 before he was purchased by associates of the Waller stable following his third place finish behind Malabar in the Group 3 Thoroughbred Stakes (1609m) at Goodwood on July 31.

Waller has been pleased with the way that Kool Kompany has acclimatized to Australian racing conditions and expects him to run well in the Guvera Stakes, but he believes that the Jeremy entire will be a much better horse when he gets to the 2015 Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival.

“He has done well in terms of condition and he looks great,” Waller said.

“He is a relaxed horse with a great attitude.

“He is still adapting to our training style and the conditions that they work under.

“Saturday will only be an entre of what you will see in the autumn, he will be a much better horse in the autumn, but in saying that he has drawn well and he has Hugh Bowman aboard.

“He is a cheeky chance, but he will improve lengths on whatever he does on Saturday in the autumn.”

Kool Kompany is currently available at 2015 Guvera Stakes odds of $11 with Ladbrokes, while Disposition ($4.20) has opened as a clear favourite from Good Project ($6.50), Artlee ($7.50) and Messene ($9).
