Honesty Prevails will return to the races in the 2016 Reisling Stakes and trainer Rick Worthington has revealed that onlookers will see a stronger horse ahead of the Group 2 event at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday.

Honesty Prevails stamped herself as a horse to follow when she recorded two barrier trial victories at Royal Randwick on December 29 and January 12 before she delivered on the hype to score a most impressive win on debut in the Group 3 Widden Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill Gardens on January 30.
Worthington sent Honesty Prevails for a couple of easy weeks following her win in the Widden Stakes and he told Sky Racing HQ that the Redoute’s Choice filly is ready to run well in the Reisling Stakes this weekend.
“She has done very well,” Worthington said.
“She had 12 days at the farm chewing out on grass after her first-up win in the Widden and then she came back into work and we have been working towards this Saturday and hopefully culminating in her grand final being on the 19th.
“She put on condition, she put on some weight and Jason Collett commented this morning when he rode her that she felt a lot stronger.
“Physically I am very pleased with where she is at.”
The Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens on March 19 is the major 2016 Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival goal for Honesty Prevails and Worthington is confident that the two-year-old is on the right track.
However, Worthington admits that Honesty Prevails still needs to improve to be a genuine Golden Slipper contender and he would like to see her record a dominant victory in the 2016 Reisling Stakes this weekend.
“That is the plan that we have been working towards and on paper she is ticking the boxes,” Worthington said.
“She will show that she has improved on Saturday, but she needs to do that.
“Whatever wins the Todman is probably going to be the favourite and to be a genuine chance she has to be dominant on Saturday.
“We are hoping that she can make the progress that we hope and expect.
“She is going to better suited later and over further and as we all know they are the sort of horses that are required to win a Slipper or be competitive in a Slipper.”
The 2016 Reisling Stakes field will be released tomorrow and Honesty Prevails is set to take on the likes of Calliope, Quick Feet, Super Too and Zelady’s Night Out.
