Haybah is the most experienced horse in the 2015 Golden Slipper field and she has shown plenty of natural speed in all seven of her races starts to date.

The More Than Ready filly has drawn ideally in barrier two and Dabernig told Sky Racing HQ that he expects that jockey Stephen Baster will  take advantage of the inside draw and press forward on the filly in the first 100 metres of the Golden Slipper.

“She is a very tough filly and she actually heads up tonight to Sydney,” Dabernig said.

“She sits on pace, she loves the rail and drawn from barrier two will go forward.

“Stephen Baster has a good record on two-year-olds, especially two-year-olds that sit on the pace and she is tough little filly.

“She could run a cheeky race at odds.”

Haybah made her racing debut with a disappointing performance in the Group 3 Emirates Airline Plate (1000m) at Flemington on Melbourne Cup Day, but she produced a much improve performance to finish second behind Secret Agenda in the CRT Whites Wires Plate (1000m) at Moonee Valley on December 12 before she had no luck when fourth behind Headwater in the Cactus Imaging Plate (1000m) at the same venue on December 27.

The two-year-old recorded her maiden race win in impressive fashion in the Evergreen Turf Plate (1000m) at Ballarat on January 8 and went very close to upsetting Blue Diamond Stakes favourite Fontiton in the Group 3 Blue Diamond Fillies Preview (1000m) at Sandown on January 26.

Haybah produced another strong performance when second behind Thurlow in the Group 3 Chairman’s Stakes (1000m) at Sandown on February 7 and she secured her place in the 2015 Golden Slipper field with a professional victory in the Listed Cinderella Stakes (1050m) at Morphettville on February 28.

The Hayes and Dabernig stable broke through for a drought breaking win at the highest level of racing when Spillway took out the Group 1 Australian Cup (2000m) at Flemington on Saturday and Hayes is chasing his second win in the Golden Slipper after winning the 2006 edition of the race with star filly Miss Finland.

Haybah is currently available at 2015 Golden Slipper odds of $61 with Ladbrokes, while Vancouver ($3) remains a clear favourite from Exosphere ($4).
