Bold Glance has been nominated for the Stradbroke Handicap after an error saw his name removed from the ballot

Bold Glance IS in the Stradbroke Handicap nominations and his position on the ballot means he’s well and truly safe of getting a start.

When the updated acceptors were released yesterday there was panic at the Norm Hilton stables with Bold Glance conspicuously absent from the list.

It raised many questions and inquires from media with no previous indication given that he wouldn’t be running.

Hilton was unaware of the drama until he got a call asking about why his horse wasn’t on the list.

“We’d done everything right and i was busy at the stables yesterday getting the horse to go to Doomben,” he said.

Thankfully they called Racing Information Services Australia (RISA) and were told it was simply an error and they would rectify the issue immediately.

Bold Glance was then updated to 8th on the ballot entry and is a guaranteed starter at Eagle Farm in the Stradbroke Handicap.

Betting agencies were also frozen while the problem was fixed and he’s been put up as a $15 chance for the race.

Bold Glance enjoyed plenty of success in Sydney earlier in the year most notably with a third placing in the Group 1 Doncaster Mile.

His one run in Brisbane was below par however it was a race that didn’t really suit him and the Stradbroke has always been the main goal.

“He took a lot of benefit from the run and he’s ready to go,” Hilton said.
