Co-trainer Peter Snowden has revealed that Pride Of Dubai is likely to contest the Group 1 Golden Rose (1400m), Group 2 Stan Fox Stakes (1500m) and Group 1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m) during the 2015 Spring Racing Carnival.

Pride Of Dubai was sent to the spelling paddock after he recorded a tough victory in the Group 1 Sires Produce Stakes (1400m) at Royal Randwick on April 6, but he is now back in work and is likely to follow a similar path to former stablemate Shooting To Win – who finished third in the Golden Rose and won the Stan Fox Stakes before he upset Rich Enuff to take out the Caulfield Guineas.
“At this stage without having anything locked in, I think he fits in the category of similar horses that I have had and the Golden Rose, Stan Fox and the Caulfield Guineas are the three races that I am really looking at,” Snowden told Racing Ahead.
“The Golden Rose will probably be second-up or third-up depending on how he comes up and they are three solid races and three races that I would give serious consideration to.”
Pride Of Dubai made his racing debut with a third place finish behind Ottoman in the Place Multi Plate (1100m) at Rosehill Gardens on December 20 and he was narrowly denied victory in the Group 3 Blue Diamond Prelude (1100m) at Caulfield on February 14 before he survived a nasty check to win the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on February 28.
Snowden elected not to run Pride Of Dubai in the Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m), but the Street Cry colt returned to racing with a narrow victory over Odyssey Moon and Rageese in the Sires Produce Stakes.
Snowden was thrilled with everything that Pride Of Dubai was able to achieve as a two-year-old, but he believes that there are plenty of indicators to suggest that the juvenile will be an even better horse as a three-year-old.
“What he has done already proves how good he is – he has had four starts and won two Group 1s,” Snowden said.
“He is a pretty outstanding colt and I just think that he is one of those horses that has the temperament, make-up and the pedigree to suggest that he might go all the way.
“I got him straight from the paddock and I didn’t give him any pre-training, I brought him straight here.
“He has just started his third week, but he looks in great order and he is 100 percent.”
Pride Of Dubai has only had four race starts, but he has already earnt over $1.25 million in prizemoney for connections.
