Glenlogan Stud’s big day at Eagle Farm

Queensland’s leading stud farm Glenlogan had a memorbale day on Saturday with three black-type races falling to two of their stallions Show A Heart and Jet Spur at Eagle Farm.

Show A Heart (Brave Warrior – Miss Sandman, by Regal Advice) a four-time Group 1 winner produce the Kelly Schweida-trained Discreet (Show A Heart – Lady Danzero, by Danzero) to win the Listed Calaway Gal Stakes (1200m).

The win catapulted Discreet to equal $2m Magic Millions Classic (1200m) favourite alongside Sizzling.

That race will be run at the Gold Coast on January 14.

Discreet, a $50,000 purchase at the MM 600 March sale was Show A Heart’s 15th individual stakes winner.

Two hours later the fast finishing mare Dual Chamber  (Show A Heart – Strong of Heart, Lion Heart) won the Listed Just Now Quality (1300m).

No one has ever doubted Dual Chamber’s talent, a promising two-year-old with Maryann Thexton and a good older mare with Rex Lipp.

It was more about her bad manners that cost her victory in many good races.

Nonetheless, the win was her second at Listed level adding to the  2010 Bright Shadow (1200m) at Doomben.

When your are in  luck, nothing can stop it and for Glenlogan it is the same.

The Racing Queensland Limited stewards played a role in Biggles win in the Listed Gold Edition Plate (1200m) .

The son of Jet Spur – Be Faithful (by Last Tycoon) past the post second behind Easy Running but won it in the stewards room.

Biggles was cut off inside the 200m and stormed home late to gain second.

Not even Easy Running’s trainer Desleigh Forster complained about the verdict.
