Girls Are Ready has been marked as a $21 chance at Ladbrokes.com.au after drawing barrier ten in the Magic Millions 2yo Classic and trainer Joe Cleary will give the Better The Ready filly her final hit out at the Gold Coast on Wednesday.

“Definitely gallop tomorrow morning and have a good half mile hit out and will be spot on for Saturday,” Cleary told Sky Racing’s Racing HQ.

“She will only need the one and it will top her off lovely for Saturday.”

Regular rider Jess Taylor will ride Girls Are Ready again in the Magic Millions 2yo Classic after the pair combined for two wins together from three starts and includes a last start win at Warwick Farm on a heavy track in a 1200m two year old Handicap on December 22.

Cleary is content for Girls Are Ready to have drawn barrier ten in the sixteen horse field plus five emergencies and the filly looks likely to jump from gate eight if all of the reserves fail to gain a start and settle just off the pace.

“After the emergencies she should jump from barrier eight,” Cleary said.

“There is a lot of speed out wide, a few of the favoured runners out wide, which is an advantage for us.”

“Just had a brief yarn to Jess at the barrier draw and we will ride her off the speed and ride for a little bit of luck.”

Cleary said that Girls Are Ready has settled into her new surroundings without a hiccup and will line up in the Magic Millions 2yo Classic in top order.

“She has done exceptional. We arrived here last Friday and she settled in like an old trooper,” Cleary said.

“Popped a saddle on her on Saturday morning. She has just settled in, she hasn’t missed an oat, temperature has been fine every day and she will have a good firm gallop tomorrow morning (Wednesday) with I Am Queen. Tegan Harrison will come and ride Girls Are Ready.”

“Dot the eyes, cross the tees and get ready for Saturday.”

The all female owned Girls Are Ready will be racing for a share of an extra $500,000 bonus that is available to the first four all female owned horses to cross the line in the Magic Millions 2yo Classic.
