The horse that can attract a crowd like no other has sold out Randwick Racecourse.

The final 300 tickets available to the general public to see Black Caviar in the Group 1 TJ Smith Stakes (1200m) will go on sale at 9am today and are expected to be quickly snapped up.

Australian Turf Club officials have said it will be a capacity crowd and there will be absolutely no tickets available on the day.

In a hotly anticipated race, the champion sprinter takes on the most competitive field she has faced since last year’s Lightning Stakes as she shoots for win 25 and her 15th at Group 1 level.

There were fears wet weather could see Black Caviar’s first trip to Sydney in two years cancelled but the early week rain has cleared and dry conditions are expected for Saturday.

Black Caviar has never raced on worse than a dead track and trainer Peter Moody cautioned earlier in the week that he would not be risking the mighty mare’s unbeaten record in wet conditions.

“I think she’d probably handle the slow and heavy…I just don’t think there’s any reason to risk her on a wet track,” Moody said.

The six-year-old is rated a $1.10 chance to keep her unbeaten record alive this weekend when she takes on the only horse that has been able to push her throughout her career.

The triple Group 1 winner led Black Caviar for much of the straight in the 2011 TJ Smith before her giant motor kicked in and she eventually won by three lengths.
