Fulgur has been included in the 2015 R.J. Peters Stakes field and he is set to make his debut for new trainer Neville Parnham in the Group 3 event at Ascot tomorrow.

Fulgur made his racing debut in the United Kingdom in August of 2010 under the care of Luca Cumani and he was sent to Australia and transferred to the care of Chris Waller at the end of 2012.
The High Chaparral gelding made his Australian racing debut with a third place finish in the Drum Theatre Handicap (1400m) at Sandown in April of 2013 and he finished his winter campaign with three straight victories, but he has been unable to replicate that form in the past two years and he was sold by connections after he finished third behind Index Linked and Harvey’s True Heart in the Montague Jazz Apple Handicap (1800m) at Caulfield on February 14.
Fulgur has not been seen at the races for nine months, but he showed that he was ready for a return when he finished fifth behind Secret Nova in a barrier trial over 1000 metres at Belmont Park on Monday.
The 2015 R.J. Peters Stakes field was released earlier in the week and Fulgur faces a tough task against the likes of Battle Hero, Hazzabeel and My Sister Lil.
Battle Hero will face the toughest challenge of his racing career to date in the R.J. Peters Stakes, but he is set to start the race as a clear favourite following his close second behind Young Lionel in the Listed Northam Cup (1600m) on October 25,
Hazzabeel returned to the races with credible efforts in the Listed Birthday Stakes (1200m) at Belmont Park on October 3 and he stamped himself as a genuine R.J. Peters Stakes with tough efforts in the Group 3 Northerly Stakes (1420m) at Ascot on October 21 and the Group 3 Asian Beau Stakes (1400m) at Ascot on October 31.
My Sister Lil bring a similar form line into the R.J Petere Stakes after she was only narrowly denied by Perth Cup winner Real Love in the Asian Beau Stakes.
The 2015 R.J. Peters Stakes field is rounded out by Adam Durrant-trained Tower Of Lonhro ($19), Boulder Cup winner Ask Me Nicely ($34), Brendon Fitzgerald-trained Goldbo ($67), the out of form Operational ($101) and the resuming Respondent ($11), who finished second behind Bass Strait in the R.J. Peters Stakes 12 months ago.
