Formaltiy has drawn barrier six with Kerrin McEvoy in the saddle again after partnering the filly in a first up win in the Group 2 $200,000 Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on August 19.

Co-trainer Ben Hayes said that Formality has matured greatly since her two year old days with her major Sydney Spring Carnival target being the Group 1 $1m De Bortoli Wines Golden Rose (1400m) at Rosehill on September 23.

“The main plan at the moment is the Golden Rose,” co-trainer Ben Hayes said.

“She has always been a big strong filly and I think that she has just matured.”

Former West Australian filly Seannie has drawn barrier four with Tim Clark to ride and co-trainers Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young have switch her to Sydney after kicking off her Spring Carnival campaign with a first up fifth to Crown Witness in the Group 3 $150,000 Quezette Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield on August 19.

The Bjorn Baker trained Champagne Cuddles suffered her first defeat last start when third, beaten less than half a length, to Formality in the Silver Shadow Stakes but will need her share of luck after drawing the outside gate with Tye Angland in the saddle again.

Joyfilly Ours will be having her first run for Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott after starting five times in New Zealand for Cambridge trainer Chris Wood for one win, two seconds and a third from five starts.

Josh Parr got the call up to ride Joyfilly Ours (barrier 3) after partnering the filly in two recent Randwick barrier trials for a win and a fourth.
