Tulloch Lodge co-trainer Adrian Bott quickly mapped out a Flight Stakes program for Pandemonium after the filly scored an all the way win in a 1600m BenchMark 70 Handicap at Warwick Farm today.

Pandemonium was sent out as the odds on $1.90 favourite and never gave her backers any reason for concern after Rachel King bounced her out of the barriers quickly and was never headed to record a comfortable one and a quarter lengths win.
The Sebring filly lived up to the stable’s expectations and Bott said that she will now be programmed towards running against the fillies in the Group 1 $500,000 Flight Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on September 30 with the Group 2 $200,000 Tea Rose Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on September 16 a likely lead up.
“I think we’ll drop back to filly’s grade now and go through the Tea Rose into the Flight Stakes,” said Bott.
“It was great to see her step up another notch again and beat the boys. There’s nice improvement in her going forward too. I mentioned a couple of nice targets for her and I think we can work towards those now.”
Today’s win at Warwick Farm was Pandemonium’s second win from six career starts and made it back to back victories following her success in a 1400m Kembla Grange Maiden on August 10.
Pandemonium handled the step up the 1600m with ease today and Bott, who trains in partnership with Gai Waterhouse, now considers that to be the filly’s ideal distance.
“I think the win last start really switched her on. She was very relaxed at Kembla Grange,” Bott said.
“There may have been times when she overdid it a touch but she saw it out strongly and it was good to see her win like that.
“She has filled out, matured and strengthened. Now she’s up to her ideal trip at the mile we’ll see better things to come from her.”
Winning jockey Rachel King has been aboard Pandemonium for her last three starts, including her two wins, and said it was very satisfying to be associated with the filly after helping with her education since she was a yearling.
“We’ve always liked her a lot and she keeps improving with every start and she was better again today,” King said.
“She rolled along nicely in front. There was a little bit of pressure early but she was able to settle, get into her rhythm and finish it off really strongly.
“I’ve had a lot to do with her since she was a yearling so it makes it even nicer when you can get a couple of wins on the board.”
Today’s win took Pandemonium’s overall prizemoney earning to $69,025.
