Fireworks was not included in the entries for the major two-year-old races like the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) or the Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m) because he did not join the Ryan stable until after entries had closed, but she has since stamped herself as one of the most promising juveniles in the country.

The Snitzel filly made her racing debut with an unlucky second place finish behind New Wings in The Entertainment Grounds Maiden (1000m) at Gosford on December 29 and she stormed home strongly to finish third in the Hyland Race Colours Plate (1100m) at Royal Randwick on January 17 after missing the start badly.

Fireworks was very well-backed in the lead-up to the Group 3 Widden Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill Gardens on January 31 and she finished over the top of Igraine to record a maiden race win.

Ryan confirmed yesterday that Fireworks would not make the trip to Melbourne for the Blue Diamond Stakes at Caulfield on February 28, but he said that connections would be willing to pay the $150,000 late entry fee to get the two-year-old into the Golden Slipper field if she performs strongly in either the Group 2 Sweet Embrace Stakes (1200m) at Warwick Farm on February 28 or the Group 2 Reisling Stakes (1200m) at Royal Randwick on March 7

The 2015 Golden Slipper order of entry was released by Racing New South Wales yesterday and over 100 juveniles remain a chance of contesting the Group 1 event at Rosehill Gardens on March 21.

Fontiton maintained her unbeaten record when she was too strong for her rivals in the Group 2 Blue Diamond Prelude For Fillies (1100m) at Caulfield on Saturday and she remains on track to make the trip to Sydney if she performs well in the Blue Diamond Stakes.

She is joined on the top of the Golden Slipper order of entry by stablemate Thurlow, while Of The Brave moved into third position after his narrow win over Pride Of Dubai in the Group 3 Blue Diamond Prelude For Colts and Geldings (1100m).

The Godolphin operation have an extremely strong team of juveniles and Haptic, Antelucan, Furnaces, Sampeah, Calaverite, Holler and Ottoman are all in the top 20 for the Golden Slipper order of entry.

Ottoman and Vancouver are currently on top of the 2015 Golden Slipper betting market with Ladbrokes from Fontiton ($8), Haptic ($11) and Headwater ($11).
