Early favourites Real Impact, Hallowed Crown and World Ace have all drawn towards the outside in the 2015 Doncaster Mile barrier draw that was conducted this morning.

Hallowed Crown has been one of the best-backed runners heading into the Doncaster Mile after he started his autumn campaign with impressive wins in the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes (1400m) at Rosehill Gardens on February 21 and the Group 1 Royal Randwick Guineas (1600m) at Royal Randwick on March 7, but his Doncaster Mile odds are likely to drift after being allocated barrier 23 for the Group 1 event.
The Street Sense entire will likely jump from barrier 20 once the emergencies are removed and that gate has not provided the Doncaster Mile winner since Super Impose won the race for the first time in 1990.
Japanese galloper Real Impact moved to the top of Doncaster Mile betting markets when he made his Australian racing debut with a tough victory in the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes (1500m) and he will likely be forced to take up the running in the early stages of the race after he was allocated barrier 21 at the barrier draw this morning.
Real Impact has the chance to become the first horse trained outside of Australia and New Zealand to win the Doncaster Mile, but no horse has ever won the race from gate 18.
The other Japanese galloper in the 2015 Doncaster Mile field is World Ace, but the Deep Impact entire has also been allocated a wide draw in barrier 16.
World Ace was well-backed in the lead-up to the George Ryder Stakes, but he finished a disappointing 11th and he has drifted out to Doncaster Mile odds of 15.
Other gallopers that will jump from towards the outside of the Doncaster Mile are two-time winner Sacred Falls (barrier 20), consistent mare Royal Descent (barrier 18), Canterbury Stakes winner Cosmic Endeavour (barrier 15), Group 1 winning mare Diamond Drille (barrier 22), Ajax Stakes winner Pornichet (barrier 13) as well as emergencies Kermadec (barrier 19) and Malavio (barrier 24).
One of the big winners of the 2015 Doncaster Mile barrier draw was Godolphin-owned It’s Somewhat, who will jump from barrier four and has been the early marker-mover.
It’s Somewhat made his Australian racing debut with an impressive win in the Group 3 Liverpool City Cup (1300m) at Warwick Farm on February 28 and was not disgraced when tenth in the George Ryder Stakes.
The Team Hawkes-trained duo of Ninth Legion (barrier eight) and Leebaz (barrier three), Villiers Stakes winner Rudy (barrier six), first emergency Sweynesse (barrier seven), Futurity Stakes winner Suavito (barrier) and talented mare Arabian Gold (barrier five) also drew positively for the Doncaster Mile.
