Exhilarates is now an $8 chance at Ladbrokes.com.au for the Magic Millions 2yo Classic and trainer James Cummings said the Snitzel filly will become Godolphin’s first runner to carry the famous royal blue colours in the $2m two year old contest if she comes through her win okay in $105,000 QTIS two year old Handicap (1100m) on the weekend.

“That is like the perfect gallop for her seven days out from the Grand Final, and at the same time that is the best time she has had in a race,” Cummings told The Courier-Mail.

“A little bit of a gear change (blinkers), you can see we are trying different things with her, she has settled in well and shown nice ability there, she is fit.

“She has been an improver, that is the best thing about Exhilarates, early on she wasn’t showing she wasn’t any Samaready, and to her credit she probably isn’t but it is an open race next weekend and she is going to arrive like a fit horse on the scene in good form with good seasoning.”

Exhilarates is the daughter of Snitzel out of the 2012 Blue Diamond Stakes winner Samaready and was picked up by Godolphin for $600,000 at the 2018 Gold Coast Magic Millions Yearling Sales twelve months ago.

The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained Unite And Conquer is undefeated from two race starts and at the beginning of Magic Millions week, the Hinchinbrook colt is marked as the $4.80 favourite for the Magic Millions 2yo Classic at Ladbrokes.com.au.

On the second line of betting at $6 is the Darren Weir trained Yes Yes Yes just ahead of Dubious at $7 and Exhilarates and the favourites stablemate Czarson at $8.
