Scissor Kick has been included in the Arrowfield Sprint field and is set to return to racing for the first time since he was scratched from the Group 1 Royal Randwick Guineas (1600m) due to a virus, but is still a chance to be saved for the Group 1 All Aged Stakes (1400m) next weekend.

The Redoute’s Choice colt finished a credible fifth in the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes (1400m) at Rosehill Gardens on February 21 and has previously won over this track and distance in the Listed The Rosebud (1200m) at Royal Randwick on August 9.

The Group 1 The Galaxy (1100m) is set to be a key form guide for the Arrowfield Sprint and Rubick and Kuro will both be returning to the races for the first time since they were beaten by Sweet Idea in the Group 1 sprint.

Rubick was well-backed in the lead-up to The Galaxy, but failed to show his usual sprint in the final stages to finish a disappointing seventh, while Kuro hit the line strongly to record a second placing at Group 1 level.

Talented fillies Earthquake and Mossfun fought out the finish in the Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m) last year and the duo will clash for the first time since that meeting in the Arrowfield Sprint this weekend.

Earthquake started her autumn preparation with a slightly disappointing effort in the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate (1100m) at Caulfield on February 28, but she produced improved performances to finish second in the Listed MSS Security Stakes (1100m) at Flemington on March 14 and the Group 1 William Reid Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley on March 27.

Mossfun returned to racing with two flat performances in the Group 2 Light Fingers Stakes (1200m) at Royal Randwick on February 14 and the Group 2 Challenge Stakes (1000m) at the same venue on March 7, but she returned to a semblance of her best form with a fair effort behind Shamalia in the Group 3 Birthday Card Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens on March 21.

Bring Me The Maid completed the Golden Slipper trifecta behind Mossfun and Earthquake and she is set to make her return to racing in the 2015 Arrowfield Sprint this weekend.

The Sebring filly has not been seen at the races since she finished 11th in the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m) at Flemington on Victoria Derby Day and is chasing her first race win since she took out the Group 2 Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) at Royal Randwick on August 23.

Nostradamus (barrier nine), Soldi Domani (barrier six), Confederate (barrier five), Puzzling Wonder (barrier one) and Rekindled Power (barrier two) round out the 2015 Arrowfield Sprint Field.
