Every Rose has been installed $6.50 favourite at Ladbrokes.com.au for the $2m The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions 2yo Classic (1200m) at the Gold Coast on January 11 following her debut win in the Group 3 $160,000 Keeneland Gimcrack Stakes (1000m) at Randwick on October 5.

Trainer Mark Newnham is also hoping Every Rose can add some more prizemoney to her $84,000 Gimcrack Stakes winning cheque to guarantee a spot in the glamour 2yo race at the Gold Coast.

“Wyong is going to be a big day for us. Every Rose needs some more money to get into the Magic Millions, even though she won the Gimcrack,” Newnham told The Sydney Morning Herald.

Every Rose is currently the $2.25 favourite at Ladbrokes.com.au for the Wyong 2yo Classic and has drawn barrier 3 with Rachel King taking over the reins from Gimcrack Stakes winning jockey Josh Parr who has the ride on the Peter and Paul Snowden trained Remorseless.

Newnham will also be saddling up the in-form Quackerjack in Saturday’s feature race at Randwick, the Group 2 $250,000 Villiers Stakes (1600m).

Quackerjack is one of seventeen nominations for the Villiers Stakes and has been installed as the early $4.60 favourite at Ladbrokes.com.au ahead of the James Cummings trained Ranier at $6.50 and El Dorado Dreaming and Live And Free who share the third line of betting at $7.

Quackerjack has been ultra-consistent at three runs this campaign which includes a win two starts back in the $200,000 Goulburn Cup (1400m) at Goulburn on November 3 followed by a second to Mister Sea Wolf in the $1m The Gong (1600m) at Kembla Grange on November 23.

Early betting for the 2019 Villiers Stakes at Ladbrokes.com.au: $4.60 Quackerjack, $6.50 Ranier, $7 El Dorado Dreaming, Live And Free, $10 Bobbing, Noble Boy, $12 Invincible Gem, $13 Gold Fields, $14 Aqua D’Ivina, Cutadeel, $15 Strome, $21 Le Juge, $26 Goodfella, Mushaireb, Sambro, Siren’s Fury, $101 All But Gone.
