Evacuation scored an impressive first up win in a 1400m three year old BenchMark 70 Handicap at Rosehill on August 27 and will have his next start in the Group 3 $175,000 Caulfield Guineas Prelude (1400m) at Caulfield on September 24.

At his only other start the More Than Ready colt won a 1000m two year old Handicap at Kembla Grange on April 16.

“He will probably head down early next week,” Waterhouse told RSN’s Racing Ahead.

“He will run in the Guineas Prelude.”

Waterhouse, who trains in partnership with Adrian Bott, has a high opinion of Evacuation and said you won’t see the best of the three year old until he steps up to 1600m.

“Lovely horse especially when you get him to a mile and I am setting him for the Caulfield Guineas like I did for Wandjina.”

“He is a really exciting horse by More Than Ready, Evacuation is a lovely horse.”

Wandjina ran third in the 2014 Caulfield Guineas before returning in the Autumn to win the 2015 Group 1 $500,000 Australian Guineas (1600m) at Flemington.

Following his win at Rosehill, Evacuation was elevated to the third line of betting at $10 for the Caulfield Guineas at Ladbrokes.com.au.

The Team Hawkes trained Divine Prophet was promoted to be the $8 favourite following his last to first win in the Group 3 $125,000 Primo Smallgoods Up and Coming Stakes (1300m) at Randwick on August 20 ahead of Kiwi Group 1 winning three year old Sacred Elixir at $9.
