In-form filly Eloping is set to shine again when she lines up in the Listed $250,000 Catanach’s Jewellers Blue Sapphire Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on Wednesday.

The Peter Morgan and Craig Widdison trained Eloping looks the one to beat in a disappointing Blue Sapphire Stakes field which only attracted eight three year olds at acceptance time on Monday morning.
The small field has already been reduced to seven runners with the early scratching of the Chris Waller trained Delectation.
Stephen Baster has retained the ride on Eloping who came up with barrier two and should have no trouble jumping straight to the front and repeating her all the way win in the Group 3 $150,000 Blackwoods Champagne Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley on September 26.
Morgan has reported that Eloping has pulled up very well after her Moonee Valley win and is very happy with her heading into Wednesday’s contest.
“She always does everything right and she seems really good heading into this on Wednesday,” Morgan told Racing Network.
The Bart and James Cummings trained Sultry Feeling has had a freshen up since running fifth to First Seal in the Group 2 $175,000 Coolmore Tea Rose Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on September 20 and will find this an easier assignment.
Hugh Bowman will be on the Encosta De Lago filly, taking over from Tye Angland, and will jump from gate five.
The rest of the field is made up of last start Moonee Valley winner Tudor, with Craig Williams from the inside gate, Nicoscene with Mark Zahra from gate seven, Husson Eagle with Michael Rodd from gate three, Burning Passion, Nick Hall from gate four and Supido from gate six with Luke Nolen.
Eloping has already been a good money spinner for connections, earning over $850,000 for five wins from ten starts including two at Group 3 level.
As well as winning the Champagne Stakes at Moonee Valley, the Choisir filly also won the Group 3 $500,000 Girvan Waugh Royal Randwick Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on the second day of ‘The Championships’ during the Sydney Autumn Carnival.
Eloping also set the pace in the Group 1 $3.5m Tooheys New Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill on April 5 before fading to finish seventh to Team Hawkes trained Mossfun.
