Today’s Eagle Farm meeting in Brisbane has been abandoned due to overnight inclement weather that has continued into the morning.

The track was declared unsafe for racing after Racing Queensland chief steward Wade Birch inspected it at 8:00am (AEST) this morning.

Birch said the surface had received around 50 millimetres of rain since 7:00pm last night causing it to become waterlogged.

The day was set to feature star sprinter Buffering’s title defence in the Group 2 Victory Stakes as well as the Group 3 Gunsynd Classic.
