Having been partnered by leading Victorian jockey Craig Williams in the Group 1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes (1207m) at his most recent start, boom colt Brazen Beau has been confirmed to be ridden by talented Godolphin mainstay James Doyle in the Group 1 July Cup (1207m) later this month.

There was plenty of speculation surrounding who would take the ride on the son of I Am Invincible for his maiden British appearance during the Royal Ascot Carnival, and while Williams managed to steer the talented three-year-old to a close second, was informed last week that Sheikh Mohammed had elected to use a local hoop.
Doyle partnered Brazen Beau in a light piece of work on the Newmarket course on Tuesday morning and was impressed by the feel offered up by the Australian-bred colt; believing he is more than a chance for success in the 2015 July Cup.
“We didn’t do anything spectacular but he quickened up nicely from the two (furlongs) and hit the line nicely,” Doyle told the Racing Post.
“He’s a ride to look forward to, big time.
“He’s very relaxed for a sprinter, not a buzzy type and I wouldn’t swap him for anything else in the race.”
Brazen Beau has posted five race wins and a further four minors over his short but impressive eleven start career so far, and will likely be retired into a stud career following the 2015 July Cup.
Trainer Chris Waller’s decision to skip the 2014 autumn two-year-old season with the colt paid dividends immediately upon his resumption in winter when the colt won the Group 2 Champagne Classic (1200m) before finishing a close second in each of the Group 2 BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes (1350m) and Group 1 JJ Atkins (1600m).
Returning in spring for a credible fifth in the talent-rich Group 2 Danehill Stakes (1200m), Brazen Beau returned to the winner’s circle in the Group 2 Roman Consul Stakes (1200m) before posting a maiden win at the highest level in the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m).
Running on for second behind the world’s highest-rated sprinter Lankan Rupee in the Group 1 Lightning Stakes (1000m) first-up this year, the colt out of Sansadee produced undoubtedly his best effort to date to win the Group 1 Newmarket Handicap (1200m) by more than three lengths on March 14th.
