Dothraki handicapped with top weight and wide barrier in Healy Stakes

The Team Snowden trained Dothraki has been handicapped with the top weight and a wide barrier in the Group 3 $175,000 W.J. Healy Stakes (1200m) at Doomben on Saturday.

Damian Browne takes the ride again on Dothraki who was allocated 60.5kg for the W.J. Healy Stakes and will have to jump from barrier fourteen in the final sixteen horse field.

Dothraki struggled with 59kg over the last fifty metres last start when Deploy was able to fight back after being headed by the six year old to win the Group 2 $175,000 Ascot Green Moreton Cup (1200m) at Doomben on June 3.

While Dothraki goes up 1.5kg in the W.J. Healy Stakes, the Gerald Ryan trained Deploy will meet the chestnut gelding 2kg worse off after his allocated weight climbs up from 53kg to 56.5kg.

Deploy has drawn in the middle of the field at barrier eight with Moreton Cup winning jockey Tim Clark retaining the ride on the four year old.

The Snowden Racing Team of Peter and Paul will also saddle up Flippant who drew in close at barrier two with Jim Byrne booked to ride.

Flippant will be heading into the W.J. Healy Stakes first up after not having raced since finishing third to Dixie Blossoms in the Group 2 $200,000 Guy Walter Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on February 25.

Too Good To Refuse will get to fly the flag for the locals and will jump from barrier four with Robbie Fradd in the saddle again after the pair failed by the shortest possible margin when a fast finishing second to Miss Gunpowder in the Listed $100,000 Makers Mark Hinkler Handicap (1200m) at Doomben on June 10.

James Cummings will saddle up last start winner Burning Passion who is stepping up in class following his victory in the 1200m BenchMark 95 Handicap at Eagle Farm o May 27.

Burning Passion has drawn the rails with Michael Cahill taking over the reins from Hugh Bowman.
