Talented four year old Disposition will get his chance to claim a Group 1 trophy after drawing an inside barrier in a capacity field for the Group 1 $400,000 Anthea Crawford Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on Saturday.

The Lee and Anthony Freedman trained Disposition came up with barrier three in the eighteen horse field plus four emergencies and Damien Oliver will be able to give the former Western Australian trained gelding the run of the race again.
Oliver gave Disposition a good trail when sent out as the favourite for the Listed $120,000 The Sofitel (1400m) at Flemington on September 12 and was able to get him home by a length over the Ciaron Maher trained Akavoroun.
Disposition has proven in the past that he is up to Group 1 level and as a three year old was beaten a neck by the Chris Waller trained Moriarty when second in the $500,000 TAB Touch – Kingston Town Classic (1800m) at Ascot during the 2014 Perth Summer Carnival.
Waller will also provide some of the main opposition in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes with Thousand Guineas winner Amicus and Strawberry Boy although both have drawn extremely wide barriers.
Amicus, barrier sixteen in the original drawn, but could come in three spots if the emergencies don’t get a start, is undefeated from two runs this campaign with a win in the Group 3 $125,000 Toy Show Quality (1300m) at Randwick on August 22 with Hugh Bowman followed by a win in the Group 2 $200,000 Let’s Elope Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on September 12 with Craig Newitt in the saddle.
Newitt gets the job again and will more than likely go back from the wide gate as he did in the Let’s Elope Stakes.
Strawberry Boy has drawn one to the outside of his stablemate and Jim Cassidy will push forward again as he did when the seven year old ran a first up fourth to Winx in the Group 2 $200,000 Theo Marks Stakes (1400m) at Rosehill on September 12.
Everybody will be looking for Ben Melham to take the in-form front runner Charmed Harmony to the front from gate nine as he trys to chalk up his fifth win on the trot.
The John Saddler trained six year old has led at his last four starts but will find Saturday’s Group 1 Handicap his toughest task to date.
Gai Waterhouse will saddle up Group 1 winning mare Cosmic Endeavour who draw barrier ten with Kerrin McEvoy sticking with her after the mare ran fifth to Amicus in the Let’ Elope Stakes.
Rich Enuff’s chances of redeeming himself for his last start sixth to Churchill Dancer down the straight at Flemington in the Group 2 $200,000 Bobby Lewis Quality (1200m) n September 12 have been dealt a bitter blow after coming up with barrier twenty-two in the original draw and will jump from the outside of the capacity eighteen horse field.
Team Hawkes have accepted with two runners, Leebaz, barrier fifteen with James Winks and Ninth Legion, Dwayne Dunn at barrier twelve.
Ninth Legion is also an acceptor for the Group 2 $175,000 Leonay Plumbing Shannon Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill on Saturday.
The Robert Smerdon trained Under The Louvre will be given every chance by Mark Zahra from gate six after the pair combined for a last start second to Churchill Dancer in the Bobby Lewis Quality.
