Sydney filly Diamond Earth is returning to Melbourne on Saturday in bid to secure a place in the $1m Blue Diamond Stakes.

The Anthony Cummings trained two year old is no stranger to Melbourne having won the $250,000 Microflite Helicopters Inglis Banner (1000m)  at Moonee Valley on October 11 last year.

And if she can repeat that effort at Caulfield on Saturday could find herself as one of the top chances in the Group 1 Patinack Farm Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on February 25.

Diamond Earth has drawn barrier twelve in Saturday’s Group 3 $125,000 Patinack Farm Blue Diamond Prelude (1100m) for fillies and if the she is successful owner Geoff Coady will seriously consider paying up the late entry fee of $55,000 to run in the Blue Diamond two weeks later.

“She’s doing quite well but it’s a big ask for her down there, she’s meeting I think five or six of the top horses in the betting for the Blue Diamond a fortnight later,” Coady said.

“We’ll just have a look and see how she goes on Saturday, then I’ll sit down with Anthony (Cummings) and we’ll see how she pulls up.

“If she does pull up well and she does win, there’s no reason why we wouldn’t pay the late entry fee and run her in the race.

“I do hope I’m in a position come Saturday night or Sunday where it’s something that we are contemplating.

“That decision will be made firstly by her. We’ll put the horse’s wellbeing first and ours second, which is always the case.”

Cody said that the Blue Diamond come under consideration early on in her preparation but the Choisir filly had been chasing Inglis bonus prizemoney in Sydney.

After her win at Monnee Valley, Diamond Earth return to Sydney and picked up a Inglis winning bonus in the $250,000 Inglis Nursery (1000m) at Warwick Farm on December 17 before being narrow beaten by Cavalry Rose in the $250,000 Inglis Classic (1200m) at Rosehill on January 21.

Sydney rider Peter Robl who won on Diamond Earth at Warwick Farm and runner up at Rosehill is retained the ride south of the border.

If Diamond Earth performs well in Melbourne, Coady will have a think about Group 1 $3.5m AAMI Golden Slipper Stakes (1200m) but that is not a priority at this stage.

“We’ve favoured the Blue Diamond over the Golden Slipper so that’s the way that it’s heading, and we haven’t had any reason to change our mind so we’ve just gone ahead with the long-term plan,” Coady said.

“She’s a very tough little filly, she continues to look well and she’s improved with each run.

“I’d never say never (to running in the Golden Slipper) but it hasn’t been a path that we’ve mapped out.”

With Coady’s connection with the Canberra’s racing fraternity a shot at Canberra’s $250,000 Black Opal Stakes next month could be on the cards.

In the awesome pattern of things you’ll get a B- with regard to hard work. Exactly where you misplaced us was on the facts. As it is said, details make or break the argument.. And it could not be more correct at this point. Having said that, let me say to you what did do the job. Your authoring is definitely extremely powerful which is possibly the reason why I am taking an effort in order to comment. I do not make it a regular habit of doing that. Second, whilst I can certainly see a jumps in logic you come up with, I am definitely not confident of exactly how you appear to unite the details which in turn help to make the actual conclusion. For right now I will yield to your issue however wish in the near future you actually connect the facts much better.

The next time I read a blog, I hope which it doesnt disappoint me up to this blog. I mean, I know it was my option to read, but I personally thought youd have something fascinating to state. All I hear is often a handful of whining about something that you could fix if you werent too busy interested in attention.
