After falling just short of the mark in two spring starts to begin her career, the Lonhro filly has returned with a bang this winter.

In three starts she has been flawless, with a shortest winning margin of one length, and this weekend gets a chance to add black-type success to her resume and further press her spring claims.

After her last win co-trainer David Feek, who prepares the filly with David Brideoake, indicated the $1 million Crown Oaks (2500m) on November 7 is a definite possibility for the rising three-year-old.

“She’s shown to us that she’s got class and if she continues to raise the bar then the Oaks will be the ultimate goal,” Feek said.

Feek said there will be no traditional spell for Lady Laksmhi who will instead have a couple of quiet weeks after this weekend before ramping up her spring preparation.

The exciting talent is one of 12 horses entered for the Taj Rossi Series Final, with last-start runner-up Resistant among her major rivals.

Also on the Flemington program this Saturday are the Listed All Victorian Sprint Series Final (1200m) and the Listed TROA/Luxbet Winter Championship Series Final (1600m).

In the Winter Championship former Tasmanian galloper The Cleaner will be out to continue his Victorian success after winning the David Bourke Provinical Plate first-up last month.
