Yosei will undergo a vet check

The 2011 $3m Group 1 W S Cox Plate (2040m) second emergency Yosei will undergo a Racing Victoria vet check tomorrow morning.

Trainer Stuart Webb has reported that a minor ailment has deteriorated since she worked today.

Yosei is suffering an injury to near fore coronet.

She is the second Cox Plate entrant that Racing Victoria vets will inspect this week.

Last start Caulfield Stakes (2000m) winner Descarado will be checked on Friday after swelling to the near hind leg was reported by the Gai Waterhouse stable today.

The injury is ruled as a low grade lameness –  one out of five.

”It is not a major concern, he had a quiet morning,” trainer Gai Waterhouse said.

”I’d call it a hiccup. I wouldn’t be accepting if I didn’t think he could get there.”

Waterhouse will make a decision tomorrow whether to start Caulfield Cup third placegetter Tullamore in Saturday’s Moonee Valley Gold Cup.
