Trainer Daniel Clarken is delighted with Miracles Of Life after his star filly dominated a barrier trial at Morphettville yesterday.

Miracles Of Life outclassed a handy field to win by six lengths yesterday and, speaking to Radio Sports National this morning, Clarken was unable to hide his excitement about the upcoming 2013 Spring Racing Carnival campaign for the 2013 Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) winner.
“I was more than happy; I walked around with a smile on my face,” Clarken said.
“She did do it in reasonably comfortable fashion, Lauren let her go a little bit on the corner to give her a little blowout and she was comfortable at the line.
“It is a real thrill to have a horse like this in your care and it was great to see her back on track yesterday in full flight.
“We can’t wait to get over there and enjoy the moment.”
Miracles Of Life is set to make her first appearance at the races, since her famous Blue Diamond victory, in the Group 3 McNeil Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on August 31 but after that her spring plans are undecided.
Clarken said the Group 1 Thousand Guineas (1600m) is a possible target for the daughter of Not A Single Doubt although he is also eyeing a history making tilt at the Group 1 Manikato Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley – a race that has never previously been won by a three-year-old filly.
“She is nominated for the Thousand Guineas or we can take the other road and head towards something like the Coolmore or maybe the Manikato at weight-for-age,” Clarken said.
“We will have a good look at her first-up in the McNeil and see where she wants to race and where she is mentally.
“Whether she is just a six furlong flyer or she will get out, I reckon we will determine that after her first go.”
If Miracles Of Life is set for the Thousand Guineas she will be aiming to become the first filly to win the Blue Diamond/Thousand Guineas double since Alinghi in 2004.
