The Bjorn Baker trained Champagne Cuddles is one of thirty-seven fillies and mares nominations for the last Group 1 of the 2017 – 2018 racing season.

The Not A Single Doubt three year old filly is yet to win at Group 1 level but has been placed at all of her four attempts in the elect company which includes her last start third behind Santa Ana Lane and Super Cash in the Group 1 $1.5m Stradbroke Handicap (1350m) at Doomben on June 9.

Bookies at Ladbrokes.com.au have installed Champagne Cuddles as the $5.50 favourite for the 2018 Tattersall’s Club Tiara just ahead of last year’s runner up Prompt Response at $6 and Super Cash at $6.50.

Other high quality mares among the nominations for the Tattersall’s Club Tiara include Group 1 winning mares Daysee Doom, Shillelagh, Volpe Veloce, Aide Memoire and Miss Wilson along with a host of Group 1 placed fillies and mares.

Shillelagh from the Chris Waller stable has been struggling to find her best form since winning the Group 1 $1m Kennedy Mile (1600m) at Flemington during the 2017 Melbourne Spring Carnival and is coming off a last start sixth to Santa Ana Lane in the Stradbroke Handicap while Kiwi mares Miss Wilson, Aide Memoire and Volpe Veloce are Group 1 winners in New Zealand.

Invincibella is one of four Chris Waller trained mares among the nominations for the Tattersall’s Club Tiara and as well as Shillelagh, stablemates French Emotion and Noire are also entered.

Missrock is also another mare who has been knocking on the door for a Group 1 win after being runner up in the last two runnings of the Group 1 $1m Darley Goodwood (1200m) at Morphettville.

Local mare Savanna Amour is yet to be tested in Group 1 company but is a winner at Group 2 and Group 3 level and is coming off a last start win in the Listed $100,000 Makers Mark Hinkler Handicap (1200m) at Doomben on June 9.
