The Gai Waterhouse trained Spurtonic has come up with barrier eleven in the twelve horse field while That’s A Good Idea, trained by Peter and Paul Snowden, will jump one from his inside at gate ten.

Jockey Blake Shinn finds himself back aboard Spurtonic after last start winning jockey Hugh Bowman elected to stick with That’s A Good Idea after partnering him at his two runs back from a spell this time in.

Bowman combined with Spurtonic to score the five year old’s first win since taking out Group 3 $150,000 David Jones Cup (2000m) at Caulfield in October 2013 with a come from behind victory in the $328,000 Magic Millions Cup (1400m) at the Gold Coast on January 10.

But Sydney’s leading jockey decided to go with That’s A Good Idea after the gelding ran an improved second up second to Ball Of Muscle in the Listed $100,000 De Bortoli Wines Takeover Target Stakes (1200m) at Gosford on January 9.

“The improvement That’s A Good Idea showed from his run in the Canterbury Classic to his effort at Gosford in the Takeover Target, which was the day before Spurtonic, was huge and I just feel he’s ready to peak third-up,” Bowman told The Courier-Mail.

“He’s a horse that’s capable of running a fast time and I reckon he’s ready to do that this weekend.”

The well performed Ninth Legion is resuming from a spell and has drawn the rails with James McDonald to ride.

The Team Hawkes trained Ninth Legion race well in top company during the Sydney Spring Carnival last year and was sent for a spell after running a creditable fourth to He’s Your Man in the Group 1 $500,000 The Star Epsom (1600m) at Randwick on October 4.

The Fastnet Rock five year old was placed twice at Group 2 level at his previous two runs at Rosehill with thirds in the $200,000 Theo Marks Stakes (1400m) and the $175,000 It’s Betting Season At TAB Shannon Stakes (1500m).

Leading Sydney trainer Chris Waller has accepted with three runners in the Carrington Stakes with last start winner She’s Clean the best chance of his trio.

She’s Clean returned to the winner’s stall with a victory over 1400m in a BenchMark 95 Handicap at Randwick on January 10 and has Kerrin McEvoy to ride and will jump from gate six.

While stablemate Heart Testa will jump from barrier five with Jason Collet and Eigelstein has Glyn Schofield in the saddle and will come out of the outside gate.

Nice post. I learn something much harder on different blogs everyday. Most commonly it is stimulating to read content off their writers and exercise a little something from their site. I’d want to use some with all the content on my small blog regardless of whether you do not mind. Natually I’ll provide you with a link for your web weblog. Thank you sharing.

An intriguing discussion will be worth comment. I think that you need to write much more about this topic, it will not be a taboo subject but usually folks are too little to communicate in on such topics. To the next. Cheers
