Bring Me The Maid has come through her unlucky eighth in the Golden Rose Stakes unscathed and will line up in the Group 2 $200,000 Schweppes Thousand Guineas Prelude (1400m) at Caulfield on Sunday.

The Peter Moody trained Bring Me The Maid was held up badly in the straight with jockey Luke Nolen searching everywhere for a run when beaten three and a quarter lengths in the Group 1 $1m De Bortoli Wines Golden Rose Stakes (1400m) at Rosehill on September 13.
The Sebring Filly has returned to Melbourne with Moody reporting that she has settled in well back in her Caulfield stable as she heads towards the Group 1 $500,000 Schweppes Thousand Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield on October 11.
“She has settled back in Melbourne well and she’s on her way to the Thousand Guineas with a lot of confidence and some really good form,” Moody told the Herald Sun.
Bring Me The Maid emerged in the Autumn as one of the top rated two year olds after finishing third behind Mossfun and Earthquake in the Group 1 $3.5m Tooheys New Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill.
Then she began her three year old season in winning form by beating Memorial and stablemate Clover Lane first up in the Group 2 $175,000 Coolmore Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on August 23.
Following that win Bring Me The Maid was sent out as the favourite for the Golden Rose Stakes but was unable to find clear running while eventual winner Hallowed Crown and runner up Scissor Kick came steaming down the outside of the field.
Bookmakers have stuck with Bring Me The Maid with Ladbrokes.com.au installing her the $4.20 favourite for the Thousand Guineas.
Stablemate Thinking Of You is next in the market order at $7 alongside of the Chris Waller trained Winx with last Saturday’s Randwick winner First Seal and the Mark Kavanagh trained Pickin’ Time both marked at $8.
