Bring Me The Maid was sent to Queensland for a stint in the spelling paddock after she finished a strong third behind Mossfun and Earthquake in the Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens on April 5 and she moved closer to a return to racing when she finished second in a barrier trial at Doomben on July 29.

The Group 1 Golden Rose Stakes (1400m) at Rosehill Gardens on September 13, the Group 1 Flight Stakes (1600m) at Royal Randwick on October 4 and the Group 1 Thousand Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield on October 11 are all possible spring options for Bring Me The Maid and Moody will make an assessment after she resumes in the Silver Shadow Stakes in just over a fortnight.

“Bring Me The Maid will go to Hawkesbury for a trial on Monday,” Moody said.

“She has settled back into Sydney, she was another one that wintered in Brisbane and she is going nicely.

“She resumes in the Silver Shadow on the 23rd.”

Another Moody-trained runner that will start his 2014 Spring Racing Carnival campaign at Royal Randwick on August 23 is Group 1 winner Dissident.

Dissident was sent to the spelling paddock after he finished 12th in the Group 1 Doncaster Mile (1600m) at Royal Randwick on April 12 and he was also sent for a stint in the spelling paddock in Queensland.

The Sebring colt finished second in a barrier trial over 1000 metres at Doomben on July 22 and he made his final public appearance before resuming in the Group 2 Warwick Stakes (1400m) with a fourth place finish in a barrier trial at Royal Randwick last Friday.

“Dissident runs the same day in the Warwick Stakes,” Moody said.

“He had a spin around at Randwick last week in a 1000 metre trial and he is coming along very nicely.”

The Group 1 Cox Plate (2040m) at Moonee Valley on October 25 is the spring goal for Dissident and he is a chance of contesting races like the Group 2 Chelmsford Stakes (1600m) at Royal Randwick on September 6 and the Group 1 George Main Stakes (1600m) at the same venue on September 20.

Bring Me The Maid is rated a $13 chance in the 2014 Golden Rose Stakes betting market with Ladbrokes Australia, while Dissident is available at 2014 Cox Plate odds of $41.
