Mornington trainer David Brideoake is looking towards a Melbourne spring campaign for his filly Warm Love, who is due to resume racing next month.

Warm Love finished third behind Black Caviar and Hay List in the Group 1 Lightning Stakes in the recent autumn season and was constantly competitive against many of the country’s best sprinters.

Brideoake is confident that the best is yet to come for Warm Love, whom he predicts will have a stellar upcoming campaign.

“There is a really nice bunch of races ahead for her,” Brideoake said.

The trainer says that Warm Love has come a long way since she began racing as a two-year-old.

“She was fabulous in the autumn and the horse herself is a lot better to train now,” Brideoake said.

“She is really relaxed and her pedigree would suggest she will improve.”

The Octagonal filly will have her first-up run in either the Listed Monash Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield Racecourse on July 16 or at Flemington the next week over 1,000 metres.
