Brilliant Australian three year old Brazen Beau has drawn the outside barrier in the Group 1 £500,000 Darley July Cup (6 furlong) at Newmarket in England on Saturday.

The Chris Waller trained Brazen Beau will jump from gate fifteen, the same barrier he had when a brave second to Undrafted in Group 1 £525,000 The Diamond Jubilee Stakes (6 furlongs) at Royal Ascot on June 20.
With Brazen Beau now racing in the royal blue of Godolphin, retained jockey James Doyle takes over from Craig Williams who steered the I Am Invincible colt on a solo course down the Royal Ascot straight last start.
Brazen Beau remains the equal 9-4 equal favourite with the Charles Hills trained Muhaarar with Ladbrokes in England.
Brazen Beau remains the $2.80 clear top pick with Ladbrokes.com.au with Muhaara marked at $3.20.
Muhaarar has drawn midfield at barrier seven and heads to Newmarket following his scintillating win against the three year olds in the Group 1 £375,000 The Commonwealth Cup (6 furlongs) at Royal Ascot on June 19.
Doyle has become acquainted with Brazen Beau in a couple of track work session at Newmarket and said the colt gave him a great feel.
“I did a little bit more with Brazen Beau than I did last week and he’s in fantastic shape,” Doyle told the Racing Post.
“Obviously, you’ve got to respect Muhaarar who turned in a freakish performance at Ascot but my fellow goes there on top of his game.”
The Aidan O’Brien stable will be anxiously waiting on the fitness report of jockey Ryan Moore who was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge for checks after being caught up in the barrier when he mount Newton’s Law reared up in the gates prior to the start of the Robinsons Mercedes-Benz Handicap (5 furlongs) at Newmarket on Thursday.
The champion English jockey struck his head on the back of the barriers and after walking to the ambulance was taken to hospital for further checks to his head and neck.
Moore is down to ride O’Brien’s smart sprinter Due Diligence who drew barrier thirteen and is rated a 16-1 chance with Ladbrokes.
Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum has a very strong hand in the July Cup and as well as having equal favourite Muhaarar with Paul Hanagan aboard, will have Muthmir also carrying his blue and white colours in the July Cup.
Muthmir is rated a 10-1 chance, will have Dane O’Neil in the saddle and will jump from gate two.
