Bowman was in dynamic form at Rosehill, riding half the card aboard four of the eight winners but walked away with a five meetings for causing interference at the 400m on Wudang Mountain who went on to win the $85,000 McGrath Estate Agents Handicap (1400m).

The in-form jockey was also hit with a $600 fine after he pleaded guilty for using his whip on more than five occasions prior to the 100m on Schweppes Handicap winner Berrimilla.

Bowman’s other two winners were Centre Pivot in the $85,000 BenchMark (1500m) for trainer John Sargent and on Sultry Feeling for Bart and James Cummings in the $85,000 BenchMark 80 Handicap (1100m).

Sultry Feeling will go down in the record books as the last Bart Cummings trained horse to win before the legendary trainer passed away on Sunday morning.

“I thought I might have had a bit of work to do once I got her out and established a run,’’ Bowman said.

“But when she got into gear, I knew at the furlong (a200m) it was all over.

“She was producing a brilliant turn of foot and there was no stopping her.’’

Bowman also combined with Bart and James Cummings to win last year’s Golden Rose Stakes on Hallowed Crown and the pair also combined to win the Group 1 $600,000 Girvan Waugh Randwick Guineas (1600m) at Randwick during the 2015 Sydney Autumn Carnival.

“I found if you were prepared to listen, Bart Cummings always had some constructive to say. An honor to know & ride for him. #RIP,” Bowman posted on twitter.

Stewards ruled that Bowman will be free to ride at Saturday’s Chelmsford Stakes meeting at Randwick before commencing his suspension and will be able to resume riding on Thursday, September 17 and will be back for the Group 1 George Main Stakes Race Day at Randwick on September 19.

Bowman recorded his third Sydney jockey’s premiership in the 2014 – 2015 season just completed with ninety-six winners after winning the title in the 2008 – 2009 and in 2011 – 2012.

Bowman was also the top Group 1 winning jockey for 2014 – 2015 with nine wins at the highest level.
