Trainer Kris Lees will be instructing Hugh Bowman to be gentle with Danish Twist out of the barriers in the Group 1 $500,000 Sky Racing Tattersall’s Club Tiara (1400m) at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

Lees said that Danish Twist has a tendency to over race if pushed along early and he is hoping to see Bowman let her settle where she is comfortable from the inside gate.
“Her instructions are always just to be very neutral out of the gates,” Lees told RSN’s Racing Ahead.
“If you are a little aggressive she can race a little fierce, gets her head in the air, does a few things wrong.”
“Hugh knows her pretty well and from one alley she will be able to make her own luck.”
‘I’d say she will be in the first half of the field.”
Bowman replaces apprentice Koby Jennings who was aboard Danish Twist when she racked up four wins on the trot with a victory in the Listed $100,000 June Stakes (1100m) at Randwick on June 11.
Danish Twist’s winning run began with a victory in the $400,000 The Provincial Championships Final (1400m) at Randwick on the second day of ‘The Championships’ on April 9 followed by a win in a 1300m BenchMark 85 Handicap at Hawkesbury on April 30.
The Dane Shadow mare then continued on her winning way by taking out the Group 3 $200,000 Godolphin Dark Jewel Classic (1400m) at Scone on May 14 before heading back to Randwick for her June Stakes victory.
Bowman is no stranger the Dane Shadow mare and has ridden her three times for a win in a 1350m Class 1 at Wyong in March, 2015 and has two seconds on her at Newcastle and Kembla Grange in restricted grade.
Danish Twist sits on the second line of betting at $5.50 for the Tattersall’s Club Tiara behind Azkadellia who heads the Ladbrokes.com.au market order at $2.40.
Lees will also saddle up $41 outsider Onemorezeta who has drawn awkwardly at barrier fifteen in the sixteen horse field with Jeff Lloyd to ride.
“Both mares are racing in good form,” Lees said.
“Obviously Danish Twist has won her last four would be the pick of them.”
Lees said that the Ciaron Maher trained Azkadellia is the obvious one to beat and deserves her place at the top of the market order.
“She (Azkadellia) is the class mare coming back to mare’s company,” Lees said.
“You have to respect her immensely. I thought she is the horse to beat.”
“Outside of her it looks like a typical mares race, a number of chances of which we probably have got one.”
Azkadellia was a winner three starts back against the fillies and mares in the Group 1 $1m The Coolmore Legacy Stakes (Queen Of The Turf Stakes) (1600m) at Randwick on April 9 before running second to Music Magnate in the Group 1 $750,000 James Boag’s Premium Doomben 10000 (1350m) at Doomben on May 28.
Then at her last start as favourite, Azkadellia had some excuses when she was caught on the worse part of the track when tenth to Under The Louvre in the Group 1 $1.5m AAMI Stradbroke Handicap (1400m) at Eagle Farm on June 11.
