At an adjourned inquiry in to interference in the Group 1 $1m The Star 150th Epsom (1600m) at Randwick last Saturday, Bowman pleaded guilty to causing interference at the 500m when he allowed eventual winner Winx to shift out, hampering Blake Shinn’s mount Kirramosa.

Stewards also used enhanced images from eight camera angles of the incident and established that contact between Bowman’s right elbow and Shinn’s right shoulder was accidental.

Bowman can ride at the rich Caulfield Guineas Race Day at Caulfield this Saturday before his suspension begins on Sunday, October 11, 2015 and he can resume riding on October 24, 2015, and be available to ride in the Group 1 $3m Cox Plate (2040m) at Moonee Valley.

But Bowman has had to hand up the rides on Group 1 winning English stayer Trip To Paris in the Group 1 $3m BMW Caulfield Cup (2400m) at Caulfield on October 17 and on Joe Pride’s Group 1 winning sprinter Terravista in the Group 1 $1m William Hill Manikato Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley on October 23.

The Ed Dunlop trained Trip To Paris is currently marked at $26 for the Caulfield Cup and showed his class with a win three runs back in the Group 1 £400,000 Gold Cup (2 mile 4 furlong) at Royal Ascot on June 18.

While Bowman pleaded guilty to the careless riding charge, he tweeted that he was disappointed with the result.

“Went to today’s hearing hoping for some apples. The stewards only had pears for me. Disappointed,” Bowman tweeted.

Bowman has been riding in outstanding form and teamed up with Sydney’s leading trainer Chris Waller for a Group 1 winning double last weekend.

Bowman rode the Waller trained Winx to an emphatic win in the Star Epsom at Randwick on Saturday before heading to Flemington to score a narrow win on Preferment over stablemate Royal Descent in the Group 1 $500,000 Yellowglen Turnbull Stakes (2000m) on Sunday.

Bowman also made it a winning double at Randwick on Terravsita who resumed from a spell for a first up win in the Group 2 $300,000 G1X.com.au Premiere Stakes (1200m).

The Bowman – Waller combination is set to hit the headlines again at Caulfield on Saturday with Press Statement the one to beat in Group 1 $1m BECK Caulfield Guineas (1600m).

And Bowman is also aboard the Peter Moody trained Pasadena Girl who is the ruling favourite for the Group 1 $500,000 Schweppes Thousand Guineas (1600m).
