Bowman will be riding Western Australia trained Mr Moet in the Group 1 $2.5m BMW Caulfield Cup (2400m) later in the day with the outsider being given some hope of causing an upset.

Mr Moet is currently a $21 chance in the Caulfield Cup odds after running fourth to Mourinho in the Group 3 $200,000 Alternate Railway JRA Cup (2040m) at Moonee Valley on September 27.

Bowman will be having his first ride on the six year old and replaces Damien Oliver who has taken the ride on the David Hayes’ trained import Jet Away.

Jet Away has been well supported in Caulfield Cup betting and is now w $9.50 chance after $12 was bet earlier in the week.

The Chris Waller trained Hawkspur still heads the market order at $5 just ahead of stablemate Royal Descent at $7 and Silent Achiever at $7.50.

Waller said that he will give Jim Cassidy no specific instructions for Hawkspur from an outside ally and hopefully things will break his way in the run down the straight the first time.
