Boss replaces Tye Angland who has been aboard the Paul Massara trained colt for eight of his last nine starts, including three wins.
The pair combined for a 2014 Spring Carnival winning double at Randwick in the Listed $100,000 The Rosebud (1200m) and in the Group 3 $125,000 Synergy FX Up and Coming Stakes (1300m) before running second to Hallowed Crown in the Group 1 $1m De Bortoli Wines Golden Rose Stakes (1400m) at Rosehill.
Angland and Scissor Kick then teamed up again in the Autumn to score a first up win in the Group 3 $150,000 Eskimo Prince Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill on February 7.
Boss is very excited about getting the call up to partner the Redoute’s Choice colt and is giving him a realistic chance of winning the weight for age feature on the weekend.

Scissor Kick has been racing in the highest company since his second in the Golden Rose Stakes and wasn’t disgraced when fifth to Hot Snitzel in the Group 1 $500,000 UBET BTC Cup (1200m) at Doomben on May 9.
Scissor Kick was slow to leave the barriers and after settling in the second half of the field made up some ground in the straight to finish two and a half lengths behind the winner.
Massara also has Rekindled Power nominated for the Doomben 10000 but looks set to run him against the three year olds in the Group 3 $125,000 Sita Australia Fred Best Classic (1350m) with the in-form Blake Shinn to ride.
The final field and the barrier draw for the Doomben 10000 will be released on Wednesday morning and connections of all the runners will be hoping to draw a decent alley.
Ladbrokes.com.au currently have the Ciaron Maher trained mare Srikandi at the top of the market order for the Doomben 10000 at $6.50 just ahead of Team Hawkes’ Our Boy Malachi at $7.50.
John O’Shea’s pair of Generalife and Knoydart are the next two in the betting at $8.50 and $9 ahead of Bring Me The Maid at $10, Sacred Star at $11 and Scissor Kick at $11.
