Berry rode the talented sprinter in the first 15 starts of her career including to victory in the 2011 Magic Millions Classic and the Group 3 Australia Stakes.

Karuta Queen has had just one start under new trainer Peter Moody where she was ridden by Luke Nolen to finish third in the Listed Bob Hoysted Handicap on March 2.

Berry is excited to be hopping back aboard the four-year-old who is one of six rivals for the world’s best racehorse as she shoots for win number 24.

“Can’t wait to reunite with my favourite girl Karuta Queen in the William Reid on Friday night thanks to @MoodyRacing and John Singleton,” Berry said on twitter.

Berry will return to Sydney on Saturday where he will partner Golden Slipper favourite Overreach in the Group 2 Moet and Chandon Stakes (1200m).

The Exceed and Excel filly faces a showdown with Slipper second favourite Villa Verde who will be making her Sydney debut after two dominant victories to begin her career in the spring.

Overreach shot into favouritism for the $3.5 million two-year-old race last month when winning the Listed Widden Stakes by six lengths.

At her only other start she finished second to Villa Verde on debut in the Inglis Debutant Stakes at Caulfield in October.

Berry’s book of rides at Rosehill on Saturday also includes Driefontein in the Group 1 Coolmore Classic (1500m) and Girls Go Racing in the APN Outdoor Handicap (1200m).
