Waller’s Melbourne foreperson Justine Hales said that Ballet Suite was in good order and would be competitive if she went around in either the Group 3 $150,000 Le Pine Funerals Summoned Stakes (1500m) for the mares or in the Group 3 $150,000 mypunter.com Eclipse Stakes (1800m) against the open class horses.

“I am not sure which race Chris will head to with her, but I am assuming the longer distance one,” Hales told racing.com.

Ballet Suite missed a run last week when she was scratched from the Group 2 $300,000 Presto Matriarch Stakes (2000m) at Flemington because of the wet track but Hales said she was in fine fettle to go.

“I think they were just worried about the wet track, but by the end of the day it did dry out,” Hales said.

Ballet Suite has had one run in Melbourne during the Spring Carnival for a fourth to Coronation Shallan in the Group 3 $150,000 G1X.com.au Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley on October 24 and Hales has reported that she has come through that run in good order.

“She has come through her Moonee Valley run really well but,” Hales said.

“She has definitely improved on her first run down here.”

“Her run at Moonee Valley was super and she just needed the bigger track and we were really looking forward to seeing her at Flemington so hopefully this weekend she can just prove what we think she is capable of.”

Ballet Suite is the winner of four of her eleven starts but has been out of the placings at her last five outings.

The High Chaparral mare last visited the winner’s stall as a three year old when she took out the Listed $100,000 City Property Services Princess Stakes (2000m) at Doomben during the Brisbane Winter Carnival.

She was then sent out as one of the main fancies in the Group 1 $500,000 Treasury Casino & Hotel Queensland Oaks (2200m) at Doomben but could only manage to finish seventh to her stablemate Winx.

Waller has also nominated She’s Clean and restricted class galloper Telepathic for the Summoned Stakes.

She’s Clean was a winner three starts back when she took out the Group 3 $125,000 Suez Tibbie Stakes (1400m) at Newcastle on September 18 and made up ground from the back last start when third to Scarlet Billows in the Group 3 $200,000 Hong Kong Jockey Club Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on Melbourne Cup Day.

“She is a pretty easy horse to look after. She just races and loves it. She enjoys her work and is always bouncy and happy,” Hales said.

“She has raced at Sandown before. She should be another good chance.”
