Soon-to-be stallion All Too Hard could follow in the footsteps of older sister Black Caviar by winning on the world stage at Royal Ascot in June.

Black Caviar scored the closest win of her career in the Group 1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes (1200m) last year and All Too Hard is entered for that race as well as the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes (2000m) on the opening day of the carnival on June 18.

In the Queen Anne he faces a potential showdown with globetrotting gun Animal Kingdom who won the 2011 Kentucky Derby and was most recently seen winning the Dubai World Cup in March.

Also set to represent Australia at Royal Ascot are sprinters Shamexpress and Sea Siren who are entered for both the Diamond Jubilee Stakes and the Group 1 King’s Stand Stakes (1000m).

Newmarket Handicap winner Shamexpress is considered a certainty to make the journey to the UK while a decision is yet to be made on Sea Siren.

The John O’Shea-trained mare won a trial at Warwick Farm this morning and will now head to Brisbane to defend her title in the Group 1 BTC Cup (1200m) on May 11.

The King’s Stand Stakes on June 18 is the number one priority for Shamexpress but trainer Danny O’Brien said earlier this month he could potentially back up in the Diamond Jubilee on June 22.

“He definitely runs in the King’s Stand but we’ll evaluate once we’re over there whether he also runs in the Jubilee as well,” O’Brien told Racing Victoria.

If any of the Australians make it to the start line in the Diamond Jubilee it is likely they will take on Moonlight Cloud, the horse who gave Black Caviar the biggest fright of her career when storming home for second last year.
